How did you get involved with Chef Joann & Plated With Purpose?
I met Joann when I was working at Whole Foods!  We struck up a conversation & our interests and skill sets aligned.  Been making magic ever since!What are some of your passions in life?
I am extremely passionate about the way I eat, my relationships with family & friends, travelling, teaching & practicing yoga & dancing salsa.

What’s your favorite part about working for Plated with Purpose?
My favorite part about working for Plated with Purpose is the cooking!  I love looking at the basic recipe template & seeing the whole thing come to fruition.  Additionally, Plated with Purpose is providing people with clean, nourishing meals.  I LOVE feeding people and knowing they are making positive choices in how they care for themselves.  Plus the team has great chemistry and we always have a great time cooking together.  

What’s your diet like?
I have been eating a traditional diet for over 14 years.  I started brewing my own kombucha when SCOBYs were underground and you could only get one from someone else! There was no such things as mass produced, retail booch back then.  

Are you passionate about eating well? If so, why?
I am a hard-core local-vore.  It has been a gradual progression over the last six years.  Last fall I uprooted my whole life and moved from New York City to San Diego so I could eat locally and seasonally all year round.  Farmer’s markets are my happy place!  I have a deep connection with food and eating pure food is the platform of my existence!

Describe your ideal day.
My ideal day begins with a spiritually inspired yoga class, followed by black coffee & laughter with a friend, a trip to the farmers market, a little cooking with my fresh produce then down time before I head out to a local meal with more friends and salsa dancing until 2am!

What’s a fun fact about you?
I am a 3rd generation carnie, born and raised in my family’s business of a traveling carnival.  I spent many a day playing in a french fry trailer and learning how to spin the perfect cotton candy. I spent my entire life into my late twenties working the midway, setting up rides, running games and cooking carnival food.  In fact that was the beginning of my culinary career…a popcorn trailer.

How did you get involved with Chef Joann & Plated With Purpose?
I worked with her boyfriend at Whole Foods and we became great friends. She reached out to me when she was looking for help and I was looking for a change . What are some of your passions in life?
I am an artist, I paint and do local projects around town. I specialize in portraits and custom work.  I also am obsessed with my French bulldog, Mona   

What’s your favorite part about working for Plated with Purpose?
Cooking with my best bud! Making wholesome food that I am proud of and serving our clients the best quality meals. I believe in Joann and her company. I am proud to be a part of it.

What’s your diet like?
I do a mostly paleo diet.. I make sure to eat good fats and keep everything in moderation. But I do enjoy a slice of Brie every once in awhile!

Are you passionate about eating well? If so, why?
I love to eat! I grew up in a family where food is center of everything and connecting with one another. I think food is self expression and a change in your food intake can cure anything. Food is so exciting to me, I’m always thinking of innovative creations and new combinations.

Describe your ideal day.
Anywhere on the beach drinking out of a pineapple.

Fun fact about yourself if you have one!
My background is in non gluten-free pastry so I’m Chef Joann’s worst nightmare!
